I didn't chew the cord.
I unplugged it for fire safety.

PAW·SPECTIVES: Inner Monologue of Dogs, hardcover coffee table book by Peter Cappello

What your dog is actually thinking.

After months of rigorous research, their inner monologue has been successfully translated. The results are hilarious, heartwarming… and not exactly flattering for humanity.

Your dog isn't just sitting there looking cute. They're conducting a full psychological evaluation of your daily routine, maintaining extensive files on your bathroom habits, and filing formal complaints about the kibble situation.

This is their side of the story. They have opinions. Strong ones.

About Peter Cappello

Peter Cappello has spent an unreasonable amount of time studying dogs, mostly without their knowledge or consent. His research has covered advanced subjects including selective hearing, treat-based economics, territorial disputes with delivery drivers, unexplained barking, and the remarkable ability to hear a wrapper from three rooms away.

This extensive and completely unaccredited fieldwork eventually became Pawspectives, a humorous dog photography book exploring the personalities, behaviors, thoughts, and everyday absurdities that make dogs such entertaining companions.

When not translating canine behavior into human language, Peter lives in Hermosa Beach, where he does very little, and does it extremely well.
